Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American performer and actress, was born on October 20, 1983 in Herzliya. Her professional career began shortly after serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. Her biggest break came in 2003 starring in an Israeli film. Alongside her roles in Israeli films, she recorded several tracks with Subliminal. Tal was able to move in with her sister in New York to take a time out from her work. In the song "Party to Damascus" she performed in an arrangement with Wyclef Jean from Haiti. She also established herself as a star on American television, by playing a recurring character in the series Veronica Mars: She originally was a candidate for the lead but the show's creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character exclusively for her. Later, Tal was offered a regular role in the CBS series. Starred in two television shows in Israel before changing to New York. Wyclef Jean recorded a track. Hebrew is her first language. She was second in the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas loved her so much that he created the recurring role Meg Manning for her. Served in The Israel Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish Her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. She plays the role of Adrian Monk's wife, who was murdered in the last episode of Monk (2002).
