Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 85, 1985) is a Canadian actress. Most well-known is her appearances on ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama in the role of Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. Recently, she was spotted as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for one year in the ninth grade. She lived with her uncle and attended an elementary school in Jelenia Gora. She continued her studies at Vancouver Film School. She began her interest in acting at 10 years old after her father introduced her to Pulp Fiction. In 2002 she began her first appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She also made a brief appearance on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she played the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she played the lead role in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand as a regular character on the TV drama Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Then, she appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she guest starred in the second season of Jane Espenson's web-based romantic comedy series, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz was cast as Emily in the series Continuum In addition, she was in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. The Green Inferno was originally filmed in 2012. It was released internationally in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast in Volition as Angela. The film premiered in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Sandy on the second season of the Netflix action film You.
