Sarah Hyland

 Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). She started in the business at the age of 4 by doing commercial work and voice-overs. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection (1998) was followed by Another World (1964) where she played "Rain Wolfe" as a child who was found in a park, who was taken care of and nurtured by Josie. Sarah would go on to work alongside Amy Carlson ("Josie" on AW) multiple times, including Falcone (2000), Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast to play the role of "Audrey Hepburn" in Jennifer Lovehewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2001). The same year, she also chosen to play "Molly” in ABC’s The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999). Starring Kathy Bates, Audra Mcdonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, and Joe Gould's Secret (2000) as well as Falcone (2000). Apart from her film and television work, Sarah studied voice, jazz, ballet, hip-hop and tap Theatre Dance, and performed with her tap and Theater dance classes at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers.A New York-born and raised girl, Sarah spent much of her time working in the fields of television, film, and also voicing numerous radio ads, as well as traveling with her father Edward James Hyland, and working at theaters across the nation. Her mother took care of her until she reached the age of two years old. She then went to the public school. She was accepted to PPAS in 6th grade. This was the school where she was until she graduated in 2008. Sarah was 18 when she moved to Los Angeles. She landed on a plane named "My American Family" within two weeks. After being accepted as a pilot, the pilot's name changed to Modern Family (2009). Sarah is currently the "Haley Dunphy", an the eldest Dunphy children. Modern Family (2009) was nominated for an Emmy award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
