Pollyanna McIntosh was born in Portugal and Colombia She was born in Colombia and Portugal, but she later moved to Scotland where she began performing on stage during The Edinburgh Festival. At the age of 16, she moved to London and soon found herself involved in indie filmmaking (her first professional gig was as stoner in Irvine Wales's The Acid House (1998)) and theatre, both as an actress and director.
